Bike ride up Provo Canyon, May 2-14

Hi All,

We had a lovely bike ride up Provo Canyon.  The weather was perfect and, with our blinding speed, we got some good exercise.  Afterwards we had a delicious lunch at a Thai restaurant.  Conrad got to brag about his amazing bike sale purchases, Karla told us all about the great can light and insulation removal in her kitchen and Kim and Craig got to swear.  We plan to do it again.

Alaska Cruise Sep 2013

We had a great cruise to Alaska and back with parents and siblings this week.  We started in Seattle spending the first full day and night at sea.  

Our first stop was Juneau, where we hiked to the Mendenhall Glacier.  The ice was interesting to look at with its blue color. 

The next day we were in Skagway.  We took a train up the trail where the gold miners went.  It was spectacular scenery.  

We also went on a guided tour of Skagway where we got a lot of history of the area.

The next day we went through the Tracy Arm Fiords.  There were wonderful views of glaciers and other wild landscape. 

The next day we stopped in Ketchikan.  It was spawning time for the Salmon.  We got a good movie of them going up the stream. 

 We also went to a Totem Pole park.  It was very interesting to see the different poles. 

Bike Riding in South Jordan

Carig, Cary and Kim came to South Jordan with their bikes. We  joined them with Ryan's Liahona bike and we drove to the Jordan River Trail.  We estimated that we biked 7 miles.  Craig insisted that we race on the way back and he won.  we returned to Karla and Norm's for a barbeque afterward..

Kim the Marathon Animal and Sealing May 2013

Kim ran another marathon--26 miles.  Amazing!  How does she do it?

We also had a good sealing session sealing a couple that Mom found in her genealogical research.  After the sealing we ate dinner at Craig and Sandy's house.
